As a locally-owned business, Copperfield’s is proud and excited to team up with local talent! Local art is unique and interesting, and it makes our store better, as we hopefully help artists in their work as well.
We are always interested in what local artists have to offer—if you are an artist or entrepreneurial vendor local to Ventura County and you’d like to talk to us about selling your items, please contact us by emailing info@copperfields.biz.
Jordan Darby is a local artist and designer who has made some pretty awesome Ventura postcards and posters. Colorful and whimsical, his designs riff off local landmarks and customs. The surf-themed postcards are great for writing notes from your vacation, while some of the others are a little “inside,” and would be awesome for sending to those Venturans who now live out of town. These are a Copperfield’s exclusive, and you’ll want at least one of each! Posters come framed or unframed, and some postcards are available in ten-packs.
Another local artist we are proud to currently feature is the watercolorist Georgia Lee Scarlott, who has spent a lifetime perfecting her art. We currently feature a couple of her large watercolors of scenes of Venice. They measure approximately 20 x 14 inches, not including the frame.
We are also very excited about our ongoing partnership with steampunk jewelry artist Peter Andrews. We feature a large selection of his fanciful jewelry at any given time. More on Peter’s work can be found on our Jewelry page.
